Our Philosophy
Believe in Diversity.
Diversity is a fact. Behave inclusively. Inclusion is an act. Become equitable. Equity is a perpetual journey. We walk with you til you’re ready to carry the baton.
Male-dominant ≠ Male-dominated.
Many industries are overcoming a male default, but that doesn’t mean that history must dominate the future. We acknowledge where we’ve come from, where we’re at, and where we’re going.
Gender is an entry point.
None of us live single-identity lives, though to walk towards the intersections of race, sexuality, age, and more, it helps to start from a familiar path. We humbly pass the baton to experts and activators in their own fields of justice.
Making the invisible, visible.
Gender influences our lives on individual, interpersonal, and systemic levels. Highlighting that nurture — and not nature — empowers us to take ownership of changing the culture across time and place.
We are Activators.
Academics study the issue. Activists raise awareness. Activators engage, educate, and empower.
Real and relatable.
The journey doesn’t start at anti-oppressive and intersectional – it ends there. We meet people where they’re at on their journey with language and frameworks that help them orient their compass and read the map.
Empathy is the key to equity.
Unlearning is one of the most vulnerable things we do. It takes courage to acknowledge — and replace with new learning — something we once held to be certain as not true, as not helpful, or even as harmful.
It’s not a competition.
Masculinity is often a culture of competition and domination. We will not recreate this in our pursuit of inclusive leadership. We will not cancel, shame, blame, judge, or guilt our way to transformation.
Happening for you, not to you.
Grow with the change that’s happening around you. Diversity and inclusion is not apart from your job description, not another task or talent, but something to integrate into your existing toolbox.
Patriarchy harms everyone.
Women, girls, trans and nonbinary folks…as well as men and boys. Whether mental health, relationships, parenting or leadership – we all have a stake.
